This latch is difficult to install and flakes of metal flashing remain. It’s adequate for my needs, but I had to remove one of the latches and reinstall in a different place. The plastic pieces are needed to hold the latch in the slides. Good enough I suppose.

A nice package and a heavy and good looking latch, not cheapy light weight product.

My only complaint is that it needs a longer throw but I'm basically happy with it for the barn door on my bathroom

This feels like a quality piece. I was very happy it replaced my old scuffed brass piece. unfortunetely the actual latch mechanism is extremely hard to move. I'm going to try and add a lubricant to see if it will slide easier. as it is right now my wife and saughter cant open it. It takes quite a bit of effort to slide it in any direction. If it wasnt for that Id give it 5 stars.
